A commonly used application of a shrink sleeve is for the closure of a package. This tamper evident sleeve is mainly used for product safety, for example in bottles or jars. It gives the consumer a guarantee that the product has not been opened before and is therefore fresh ( also called, first usage guarantee).
A tamper evident, also called secure cap sleeve, can be produced both printed and unprinted. However, a perforation in this sleeve is a must to facilitate the opening of the sleeve. To make the opening even easier, tear tape can be added. This ribbon between two perforated lines guarantees an easy opening of your product, regardless of the shape of the product.
Due to different production methods these shrink sleeves can be produced in both large and small quantities. In addition, the secure cap can be printed both fully and partially if desired.
